look, they are backtracking...

Asked if the gun could have been a toy, Issubel replied, "We know that the weapon viewed on the screen was told to us to be a revolver by our investigators. However, we are looking into that."

However, Capitol Police sources never ruled out the possibility that the gun was phony.

According to local radio reports, the female told police the gun was part of a Halloween costume.
