its like a vcr thingie for live tv programs...havent you had the urge to take a dump half way through your favorite show? well...with tivo you can pause the show and unload the children, unpause and enjoy...

it also lets you record entire programs, movies and seasons of tv shows...right now ive got it hooked up for Dinner for Five on IFC and Survivor...

now im no longer torn over missing my fav shows...i just go and enjoy life and no my trusty lil tivo has recorded my shows me...it also records show it thinks you are going to like..but, i havent got into that option yet...

no TIVO, but PVR from the DISH Network, and yes, it fucking rocks!!!

1 button recording, rewinding and pausing the show you're watching. It's really great!!! LOVE IT!!!

no, it's the other satellite provider. PVR is built into the satellite receiver. It doesn't "learn" your habits, like TIVO can, but does all the other stuff.
