Princess Dianas butler, who this week published a book which includes information she shared with him in confinance. When Princes William and Harry said how they were disgusted with Pauls actions and the book he said they should "grow up"

He's getting a fortune from this book.

I'm not a royalist, but what he's doin is out of order!

(looking at it from all sides is so confuse )

It is terrible how the Royal Family, Spencer Family and so called men in suits, the police and the CPS treated him, the man does have huge amounts of debts to pay after what happened last year.

I understand this is why he has written the book to pay of the debts he occurred, also to set the record straight about Diana’s life.

He has brought attention to Princess Diana’s death and it’s about time the UK did the enquiry and put this matter to rest for the sake of the family, by not doing this it leaves everyone to speculate what did happen.

I do not like kiss and tell books; I will never understand why some feel the need to do so. (This man promised he would never do so yet he has and it shows he is one never to be trusted)

The UK media love kiss and tells then pulling the person apart, the man will have to deal with this and what i have read it’s happening now. (We all have to suffer the consequences of our own actions)

I thought you had to sign a document (the official secrets act) when working with the royal family. confuse

I do feel sorry for Princess Diana’s children they must be going through hell with this being dragged through the media, time to let it go and move on.

Anyway what do i know... falloff

Hi camille4u wave

nod I agree about his fashion sense also the Poppy does not look good but it is worn for a reason:

The story why he is wearing the flower (poppies)

The areas of Northern France known as Flanders and Picardy, saw some of the most concentrated and bloodiest fighting of the FIRST WORLD WAR.

There was complete devastation. Buildings, roads, trees and natural life simply disappeared. Where once there were homes and farms there was now a sea of mud, a grave for the dead where men still lived and fought.

Only one other living thing survived. The poppy, flowering each year with the coming of the warmer weather, brought LIFE, HOPE, COLOUR and REASSURANCE to those still fighting.

In 1915, Lieutenant Colonel John McREA, a doctor serving with the Canadian Armed Forces, was so deeply moved by what he saw that he scribbled the following verses in his pocket book.

In Flanders fields the poppies blow
Between the crosses, row on row,
That mark our place; and in the sky
The larks, still bravely singing, fly
Scarce heard amid the guns below.

We are the dead. Short days ago
We lived, felt dawn, saw sunset glow,
Loved and were loved, and now we lie
In Flanders fields.

Take up our quarrel with the foe;
To you from failing hands we throw
The torch; be yours to hold it high,
If ye break faith with us who die
We shall not sleep, though poppies grow
In Flanders fields.

Three years later McCRAE was to die in a Military Hospital on the French Channel Coast. Shortly before he died, with the British coastline visible on the horizon, he is said to have murmured;
Tell them this, if ye break faith with us who die,
We shall not sleep.

On the Eleventh Hour of the Eleventh Day of the Eleventh Month 1918, the FIRST WORLD WAR ended.
Thousands had died, thousands more had been injured and scarred by their experiences.

Moina MICHAEL, an American War Secretary with the YMCA and herself a writer of verse, had been moved by McCRAE’s work and had written;

And now the Torch and Poppy red
Wear in honour of our dead

Miss MICHAEL bought red poppies with money that had been given to her by work colleagues, and wearing one of the poppies she had bought, sold the remainder to her friends to raise a small amount of money for servicemen in need.

The first actual POPPY DAY was held in Britain on November 11th 1921.

All monies help many ex-Service men, women and their dependants overcome severe problems and appalling injustice.

Worth consideration:

A) THAT document (and others) were written by her, no-one else, and therefore, u could argue that he is simply placing in2 the public domain documents of historical import. Even if this book wasn't written, those documents would still exist, and I think the public should know how she was feeling during those times. Remember, this is a woman who laid herself bare on an international scale in that infamous Martin Bashir interview...

B) At the end of the day if u dont want him 2 'profit' from it, dont buy it. It's that simple.

Yeah, I feel 4 the 2 Princes, but let's not forget here that they're men now, not boys - and there is no way on God's earth that they can ever go through life without living under their mother's shadow. Personally, I agree with what Paul Burrell said in his defence of these revelations: 'Sometimes, the truth hurts, but that doesnt make it less important'.

I'd rather these items were made public, than locked away in some dusty box in an attic. Ok, maybe the letter is nothing but sheer coincindence, but that doesnt change the fact that it is increadibly important.

That interview with Fiona Bruce on BBC1 last night was interesting, although when she challenged him about Diana's 'conquests' (of which he said he would not reveal anyway) she mentioned something about how that wasn't important and how nobody wants 2 know such things. I couldn't give 2 figs either way, but what made me laugh was the irony of a program on TV this week all about the sex life of Queen fucking Victoria!!! rolleyes

I think it's been blown out of all proportion - and the media are manipulating the whole thing, with the government frantically pulling strings in the background trying 2 limit the fallout. I mean, dont u think it's strange how nobody seems 2 have noticed how suddenly the worm has turned within the media from pouncing on THAT letter like a pack of wolves, 2 suddenly
denouncing him from every spire in the country?

Look at James Hewitt - from national hate figure 2 public fave TV contestant on the crappy celebrity athletics program recently. Give Paul Burrell 2 years, and he'll be appearing on Blankety Blank.

WHY the sudden media frenzy 2 change the public's perception of this man?

Wake up, you're being spun to!

She was seemingly a really nice person, who died in horrible circumstances, who tried 2 help others in her lifetime, but like us all had her own day-2-day problems. In lowering her formal royal status and revealing these 2 the world, maybe that was the essence of what endeared her 2 the British public - but she was no saint. I think she would be the first 2 have admitted that too.

At the end of the day, it's gonna be 2morrow's chip paper.

He is a loser and I won't be buying/reading his crappy book. I hate when people write "tell all" books about a dead person. I also hate when people write books about someone just for the sake of gossip (Alex Hahn). I won't be buying that book either.

I can forgive him earning for doing all those TV and press interviews, but when their is a novel on a shop shelf with his picture and a £14.99 lable on it, I think that's going to far.
