I do think it's stupid, as growing up in a ghetto (anywhere in the world) should not be made into a joke. I should know. If that's all these people had to do at this point in there lives I would suggest sitting down and coming up with some CONSTRUCTIVE for people 13?? to adult to do.

I asked a lot of my siblings friends (Ages 12-18)how they felt about it being Afro-American-Black and surprisingly they ALL hate the idea of it. None of them would even entertain the idea of playing it, and my youngest brother (16) asked me who they made it for. I told him I could even begin to guess.

Personally, I do find it offensive. I don't think that anyone can actually buy it and not find it racist.

However, this guy, David T. Chang (a Chinese-American), who created it says he has more coming. RedNeckopoly, Hoodopoly, HipHopopoly, and Thugopoly are in the works.

But then the inner asshole in me finds it funny.

I just think it's in poor taste - I think if this were created by a black person, the humor of the product would still be as "edgy", but with a more empathetic (and less stereotypical) take.

Either way, the damn thing's a collector's item now, like it or not.

The collector's item aspect of it is appealing though, 'course, you'd never be able to open it, it'd devalue it immediately.

It just looks like an ugly looking thing 2 be honest. I wouldn't have it next 2 my Monopoly and Cluedo! ehehe!

i bought this game for my race and ethnicity class. it is going to be in my final presentation (the topic is race and media). i think the game is f'd up but i love it nonetheless...its gonna get me my A in class!

I think it's funny. Humor is often offensive to some people, whether it's racist or not.
