The Blair Witch project shouldn't have been in the top 1000. disbelief That movie was sucessful because of the heavy promotion it recieved. The soft porn "Bare Wench Project" was scarier than that crap.

Jaws was number 3. The music made that film terrifying.

I think the shark made it terrifying. I will never swim in the ocean as a result.

Half the movie is a camera aimed at the ground. If you didn't know what the movie was about(becuase of the promotion it made you anticipate) you would be bored all to hell.

This is what it says about Alice Cooper!

"Despite recent attempts to steal his crown by acts such as Marilyn Manson, Alice Cooper must still rank as the scariest pop star ever. Sharing his stage name with a 17th century witch, the man born Vince Furnier almost single-handedly invented 'shock rock'. To accompany hits like School's Out and Elected, his shock-horror stage show - alongside child-unfriendly TV appearances on Top of the Pops and The Old Grey Whistle Test – featured coiled snakes, giant spiders and bleeding, beheaded babies (dolls, of course!). "

I thought the Excorcist would come in at number one.

Yeah, especially that scene from full version that they re-released a few years ago, when she (Linda Blair) comes crawling down the stairs in a backbend and then pukes up all the blood...

Everyone in the theater actually screamed out loud at that part. lol

I really do think The Shining is the scariest film I have ever seen. My jaw locks along with Danny when the freaky twins are standing in the corridor. I know its coming but I just have to watch. Blimey it gives me the creeps. And the old hag in the bathroom. eek
