They let me leave at the end of the day. Although I sense they are plotting to find a way around this.

I suppose that depends on which country u're in, but in essence not here, because each week we work five hours more than any other worker (45 as opposed to 40) and that makes up for the time we have off. In reality though, teachers work MUCH FUCKING MORE than 45 hrs a week.
