I had mine taken out last May. It hurts, it sucks, but it's better in a few days. Drink lots a soup through a straw and make sure you gets some painkillers along with your anibotics from the dentist. Don't be scared it's over as soon as you sit in the chair but the pain comes hours later when the numbness wears off, so be prepared. Really it's not the worst thing that can happen. You'll be fine sweetie  In spite of the cost of living, it's still popular. |

Been there done that not only did I have my wisdom teeth done I had my two year molars done. Plus they did not pull them they had to put me under (laughing gas) and physically cut then out of my gums. I had stiches and everything. That was weird having stiches in your mouth. | |

My upper right is growing sideways and the roots are sticking out of one side of the gum and the tooth is poking out the other side. My upper left is growing down above my back molar and shoving it down as it grows. My bottom right is trying to break through and is swelling the gum up above my back molar. To top that sexy shit off, the bottom right is growing DOWN INTO my jaw and they're going to have to attach a small chain to pull it back up! 
They said I'll be in bed for days with the pain because they have to slice the sides of my gums open to rip them from the sockets. Stitches and all. Advice? Pat on the ass? Farewells?  Awww...
That all may sound bad now...but just think how much better off you'll be after you've healed and stuff  | |

btw, don't be afraid of being put under... it happens everyday, and is extraordinarily safe... i've had surgery twice, and been put down both times, and there were no complications... they just put the mask on you, have you inhale the gas, and eventually you just drift off to sleep... and just think, no matter how much it hurts after the surgery, keep in mind that once the pain goes away, you'll feel much better than you did before the surgery... stick it to those wisdom teeth, pimpstress...  ... I hope no one has/had to go through what I did. Long story short, they were impacted, I went to an oral surgeon, I was awake the whole time, and basically he ended up cracking my jaw (by accident) and I had to go to the emergency room the next day because of the pain and the fact that my jaw was swollen to the size of a softball.
