Oh yeah, another scary thing about my surgery - I woke up during the middle of it and tried to sit up. I remember some hideous cracking noise as they were yanking out my tooth. No pain, though. I mean, like, where is the sun? | |

I have had an abnormal amount of dental work during my lifetime - starting at age 8 - so this was nothing new to me. I had four permanent molars removed when I was younger and I was awake during that, so I got to hear all of the cracking in all of its glory. All of the teeth ended up being split in half by the pliers... I mean, like, where is the sun? | |

See, this is why I say great surgeons make life easier. I've woken up during a non-surgical procedure, and it ain't cute! After it was all done I wanted to clobber the doctor. This is why I LOVE VERSED! Tell the doctors not to be stingy with whatever they put you out with! THEY'RE SUPPOSED TO MAKE SURE YOU STAY UNDER!!! This post not for the wimp contingent. I hate to belabor this, but one thing I recall about friends who've had this done is that they drool a lot and have Dizzy Gillespie faces for a few days afterwards.

I had 2 of mine removed.. BUT mine were taken out due to the fact that one of my teeth was impacted and I got really sick and couldn't eat or do anything.. I was miserable and in a lot of pain. ONce they numb you up and ask for sweet air or laughing gas... you wont feel anything.. It goes realy fast.. My thoughts are with you Jana... ... Little Miss Muffin... You vixen you...-Sag10 | |

I had a brace that sat behind my bottom set of teeth which was designed 2 straighten a tooth which was slanted. It didnt work so the only solution was 4 my dentist 2 yank it out in the chair. I wasnt under anesthetic and my mouth was really numb afterwards! Nice!...

My upper right is growing sideways and the roots are sticking out of one side of the gum and the tooth is poking out the other side. My upper left is growing down above my back molar and shoving it down as it grows. My bottom right is trying to break through and is swelling the gum up above my back molar. To top that sexy shit off, the bottom right is growing DOWN INTO my jaw and they're going to have to attach a small chain to pull it back up!

Okay, here's the deal, go out now and buy some frozen milkshakes--keep em in the freezer so that all you have to do is reach in and get them--pudding is good too. Get your soft foods now because you WON'T feel like it later. I have all my wisdom teeth taken out, one had some tricks to it, but because of being put under, I slept a good portion of the first few days that make you feel bad..go into it with all the positive stories in your head, not the nightmare ones. Dont smoke, or you will get dry sockets--or suck on a straw for that matter, it will also mess with ya..and have an ice pack, etc. ready, so that all your comforts are ready and waiting..of course we will also keep ya company on the org!!! | |

I've had my wisdom teeth removed. And it was some of the most painful moments of my life.
They were removed in an emergency operation after I started developing extreme pain. I was hospitalised for over a week. Wait, I might be thinking about my appendix?  | |
