What perks do u get from YOUR job?

Now if u will excuse me, I have to go enjoy my holiday mr.green

Teachers are practically part time arn't they?

I suppose that depends on which country u're in, but in essence not here, because each week we work five hours more than any other worker (45 as opposed to 40) and that makes up for the time we have off. In reality though, teachers work MUCH FUCKING MORE than 45 hrs a week. smile

Damn. Sorry, I didn't realise that. hug

Teachers work their butts off (at least the good ones do...)...I have deep appreciation to anyone who becomes a teacher, especially when(if) you see their sincere love of kids showing thru in everything they do...rose

Oh, and perks that go along with my job? (lol)...I work unsupervised...can set my own hours pretty much (as long as I get all my shots and no complaints, they don't care when I work)...my pay per hour is relatively high considering what I do (I make anywhere from $24 to $72 dollars an hour...highest per-hour rate so far was $110)...and I get a pretty decent digital camera to use for my own personal use...lol smile

Sadly enough teachers seem to be underpaid all over the world, I have spoken to teachers from Greece, the US, the UK, France and other countries and it seems to be the same all over sad

Sad because it is a direct investment in our future. No one seems to notice when prop 13 passed in the 80's and all the extra school programs were removed. Violence in school has been on the rise ever since. Any time the state or government want to cut something, they take it from the schools. Bullshit!!! [i]An education is a right, not a privilege./i]

By the way, to be serious for a second...I do agree that it shows complete lack of respect to stop viewing your child's teacher as an important component of your child's life, and instead look at him/her as simply someone to flirt with...no no no!...You'll do your child a much greater service in cultivating a respectful relationship with their educational "guardian". You're gonna need their support--and they, yours--too much to belittle it with lingering "stares", hints of attraction and outright flirtation.

That's a tip, folks. Write it down.
