I have never met any of my fellow Chi-town orgers . I actually live in the western burbs where Prince fans are more rare than decent resturaunts. Anytime y'all want to get together (maybe for his next show???) let me know!!

oh good lord no. i can't play any instrument. we are hiring a band. no, i am just a barely decent singer. um, so far: (all subject to change, and not in chronological order) "let me entertain you" robbie williams as the opener. my producer wants to open with "celebrity skin" by hole. some of the best comedy in the show is me talking about what a huge star i am wanna be and how big of a bitch diva i am gonna become once i do, so celbrity skin is kinda funny... dunno. there is a monologue talking about my family history capped by "oh father"... but that song might get changed. the monologue about seducing str8 boyz and trying to get one to fall in love with me is topped (pun intended) by "Little Red Corvette". my producer hates this one, but has not offered a better idea, so... the monologue about losing my viriginity to my older step brother ends with "pour some sugar on me" by def leppard, and is by far my favorite song choice, cause it was the song that was playing when it really happened, and the lyrics only have to be changed a tiny bit... friggin hilarious. a monologue talking about my rage filled early teenage years ends with "paint it black" by the stones, but it is really looking like that monoluge and song might get cut all together. was going to do a monologue about my HIV medications and do "space oddity" by bowie, but that piece was the first one scrapped. too far of a stretch to connect the very subtle heroin story of the song to the medication of the monologue, and a very flimsy comparrison anyway. the monologue about becoming hiv positive thanks to a cheating boyfirend ends with "live to tell" by Madonna... sad sad piece. probably the best one in the show at this point. live to tell is perfect too. listen to the words with the situation in mind, and see how beautifully it fits. "man call tell a thousand lies, i've learned my lesson well. hope i live to tell the secret i have learned. till then...will it burn inside of me?" a monologue about getting back on my feet and starting to date again is done with "tainted ove" by soft shell, but i think we might end up doing the marilyn manson version instead, because the general mood of the MM version might fit more. will depend on the rewrite of that piece. i have been working on a new peice about wanting to be just like the straight people and live that straight white picket fence dream which will be coupled with a completely overhauled version of "part of your world" from the little mermaid. have not shown this to the producer yet, but so far, it is frigging hilarious. it is possible that the jail peice might end up getting rewritten and put in the show without a song attached as there are a couple of monologues that don't have or need music. i dd think about doing "jailhouse rock", but i think that might be entirely too obvious. it all depends... march is a ways off. god only knows what will get changed between now and then. and the show closer will almost definately be "i will survive" cause it is just too funny not to. um, so far: (all subject to change, and not in chronological order) (songlist...) I need to see this! For the angst-ridden angry teenage years might I suggest "100 Years" by The Cure. "Quicksand" might be a good Bowie choice too. Fucked up quotes edit. [This message was edited Thu Oct 23 13:16:24 PDT 2003 by TRON]

Awesome thread JD!
Probably DreZone lives closest to me, as he's in Southeast London and I'm in South London. I know there are tons of other orgers in London but I don't know where exactly they live - so I would have guessed giotto (Kensington) right offa the bat as he's the only one that I know which neighborhood he's at. My nearest tube stop is at Elephant & Castle and even that's a 15 minute bus ride away! I mean, like, where is the sun?

Markk lives in the same town as me - Huddersfield, West Yorkshire, UK. It's the largest town in the UK, so that's not that much of a coincidence but Huddersfield is still a town where everyone sleeps with each others exs.
Markk said there was someone around on the org from a nearby town but I've never noticed the guy he mentioneds posts. Must pe a P&R poster. "You know, you're the classic example of the inverse ratio between the size of the mouth and the size of the brain"
