omfg WOW! You are so lucky! biggrin Did you know that she went to Menjo's after the show?

I know. It was a special night for a lot of reasons.

What's Menjo's? Were you there?

It's a gay bar on 6 Mile in Detroit...I wanted to go there, but we went to The Rainbow Room instead. Menjo's is where Madonna used to hang out when she lived here.
I'm still upset that we didn't go there instead.

She probably would've been really secluded. But you might've caught a glimpse though. I wonder if she danced. That would've been great to just be around her. She's got so much mojo. drool

The only one I can think of is Antoon; he must be 20 minutes away from Antwerp; the city I live. Would be great to meet up with some "international" orgers though smile

I get that strength from her too. I'm a musician and although my music is way different from hers, I look to her as an inspiration because she came from where I'm coming from now. The Midwest work ethic, the family struggles, being an outkast...I relate to it all.

Well, it was funny to me anyway.

Nope. None of them, although I always think Bambi is one of my friends and then I remember he has a different user name.

Nothing I would classify as an official demo that I'd share.

We'll see if I can do something about that though. wink

have not selected filming poeple yet. i think i might use a friend of mine jeremy who is theater director and a filmmaker and has a really great eye. almost asked him to direct the show itself, but decided i wanted someone with more experience specifically with one person shows, and so asked the producer to direct it as well.

a theatre here in austin called the Dougherty Theatre

fireworks and a 40 person tap dance number...

are you familiar with sandra bernhard's one woman shows? it's is set up a lot like those. monologues broken up by (mostly) ironic covers of songs.

i have posted a a few rough versions of some of the pieces on the org. "Joe(y)" "Str8 Boyz" and "525,600 - a year later" will all get some more editing work done on them and be put ion the show. still debating on wether to rework the jail piece and include it. this is the worst part of the experience... hashing over rewrites and edits with the producer... tedious tedious work. especially, cause he hates the songs i have chosen, and keeps wanting to change them.
