Appreciation thread for Social Workers and Teachers

This one is for all the people who take part in educating our nation. Whether it's in a classroom or a clinic.

This is for all the social workers and care givers who devote their lives and do their best to making life better for women, children, the elderly and the homeless.

This is for the teachers who are often given the responsibility of raising America's children. Without them we would fail.

This is for the teachers who take on the challenge of teaching developmentally challenged kids.

Leave politics out of it. This thread isn't about what you think about social services or about the state of education etc... Just appreciate all the people who devote their lives to the wellbeing and education of others.

woot!

I think teachers are under appreciated and under paid all together.. These jobs are sooo important to educate young minds and build our world as it will be in the future...
I went to college to become a teacher but stopped pursuing my degree after 2 years..Other needs called in my life.. But i still may go back to school to become a teacher.. That is one of the most rewarding jobs around!!

Social workers and teachers are very underpaid and overworked, with more dedication than you will ever know.

Those are two jobs where you cannot help taking your work home with you.

Mad love all around for them.

I just got back from Teachers College. I went there to pick up these certification examination booklets. They're not for me (parents want their kids educated on things that matter by people who know a thing or two) they're for a neighbor!

So, yes, shout outs to the social workers and teachers who make a difference.

It's a calling nod if you want to do it you should. Here's the link to the school I went to it's ranked as one of the best schools for teaching in the country. The comute may not be that bad for you if you live in NYC and there are some GREAT teachers there.
