I got my brother a blue cloud guitar for Christmas last year. biggrin This year the gift to me is money to help pay for my trip to South Africa. woot!

As for gift ideas for you, I'd have to know for whom you are shopping and what he/she likes.

I have around 30 people to buy for this year, ranging from 6 months to 69 years old. So any/all ideas are gratefully received biggrin

... I like buying things that are a little unusual, as now I'm getting older a lot of my friends have just about all the normal stuff they need.

Usually my creative juices flow during the year and I find just the right thing way ahead of time. This time, nada. Maybe it's because I've got less money to spend this year than usual, but I really haven't got a clue what to buy anyone, except for the children who are always easy to buy for.

It certainly depends on the people you are buying for, but music and books are always reliable, trustworthy things to buy. If that's too boring, there is a GREAT gift shop called "Bombay" here in Salt Lake City. I think it's an international store, so they may have locations where you are. In any case, I bought my brother a nice chinese checkers set that has immaculate wood. That store has great mirrors, tables, decorative games and other cool knick knacks.

I found the lamp from the movie "A Christmas Story". It's the fishnet leg lamp...me and my friend are buying them for each other for Christmas lol

That movie is my all time favourite christmas movie. I've been watching it faithfully every year since it was made. I just love little Ralphy and his father is absolutely priceless. Even though I've seen the movie 25 times or more, I still look forward to watching it every Dec. Such a cool little flick!!

It's the best Christmas movie you'll see IMO. It's usually on TNN 24 hrs on Christmas Eve.

The lamp will run you about $50 whoever is interested. I can't wait to get it!!!

I'm in England so I'll have to buy it I think.

Strangely enough I've already got my Christmas movies lined up. I got White Christmas out of the cupboard the other day but haven't got around to watching it. Then there's Groundhog Day, Scrooged and It's a Wonderful Life. All ready and waiting to be watched. I'm going to see if I can find A Christmas Story tomorrow! biggrin
