I thought it was pretty cool actually smile

Sure, the premise is a bit silly, but there are some fabulous moments, some great action sequences, some great CG, all wrapped up in sexy black PVC. What's not to like?

I only saw a pirate but those CGs did look very much like CGs. I enjoyed the film though, the plot thickens.

I thought the movie sucked. It was full of fightscenes that had no point to them other than to have fightscenes. And the CGI was too obvious - poorly done. And the ending is like: "Ooops, we spent two hours on pointless fightscenes, and now we've only got ten minutes to catch up on the story - let's intercut between five different scenes. Modern audiences grew up on MTV - they can keep up. It doesn't matter that we don't build suspense that way. OH MY GOD, now we only have five minutes left! We need to cram some more of the info in there that we didn't get around to because Keanu had to fight JetwhatsisnameI'msureit'somethingjapanese - the boys will really love it. We can rush past the important stuff. No one will mind as long as we've got 100 Agent Smiths in there." biggrin

Hmm I don't know what you lot expected from it (given the first movie) but it was just more Matrix, which is fine really. Switch you brain off, enjoy the action. As for the CG... I'm fairly sure that it isn't really meant to look "realistic" smile They did a decent job of the combat sequences, IMO. Fun, silly movie, lots of action, sexy outfits, loud music, dumb plot, big car chase... what's not to love? smile

I'm with Ian. The Matrix films have got a license to be as daft as they like, it's all happening in a computer game & Neo's got cheat mode on. Sure, it's shit that there's no proper ending, but let's see Revolutions before we jump to any conclusions.

I can't be arsed buying it on DVD because I saw it on IMAX and I can't imagine my TV being able to live up to that.

shrug that scene was probably too long, but it was only 2 minutes. i wouldn't let it ruin my enjoyment of the rest of the movie.

What?! The sight of Carrie Anne Moss looking all orgasmic sweaty made you cringe! Made me growl! rabbit (had to use a rabbit in the shocking absence of a dog emoticon).

The thing to remember about Reloaded is that the story is spread across a few different media - you kinda need to check out the "Enter the Matrix" videogame as well as "The Animatrix" in order to get the whole story. Of course, most people won't care that much, but it does explain why the story doesn't hang together that well in Reloaded... it is strictly a sequel for fans only, and not a standalone movie as such...

I still liked it tho.

No, it is pile of shite. However it sold pretty well.
Also, there is an hour worth of extra Matrix scenes that were filmed at the same time as Reloaded but kept for the videogame. So, real fans of the Matrix will get a kick out of the game for that reason alone. The game itself is pretty bad, although the combat animation system is quite nice.

I like both films, but I thought neither were truely great. I know many consider the first one a masterpiece, but I thought it was an average to good SciFi.

Maybe thats why I enjoyed the second one too, I had fairly low expecations to begin with.
