This weekend I went to the Landscape Arboretum ( http://www.arboretum.umn..../index.htm ) which is just a couple of miles down the road from Paisley Park and I found it stunning. It is said to be one of the top 10 gardens in the United States.

Ninety-nine percent of the flowers were dead as we have had below freezing nights in Minnesota already, but it must be awesome when they are all in bloom because there are literally thousands and thousands of different flowers (There were little signs EVERYWHERE). But it is peak leaf season in Chanhassen and the colors were truly beautiful.

As I was walking the grounds (which are way too large to cover in one day) I saw someone being interviewed and as I walked past I heard her mention that "Prince occasionally visits the grounds" which definately proved to me that "Arboretum" is probably titled after the "Arboretum" just down the road from him.

I also realized that some footage that Prince had shot by mounting a camera on a car and shown at Paisley Park on a loop one time during a show a few years ago was shot at the Landscape Arboretum. At the time I wondered where he was driving because there were random people in the shot and the road was so skinny that it looked like a path. I now know that he was driving the 3 mile drive which is a auto tour of the gardens.

Anyway... here are some pictures which of course don't look so good because I had to shrink them so much to fit them onto a message board in a reasonable size, but you should get the idea.

The girl in some of the pictures is "RasberryWoman" who is also a Prince.orger, although she doesn't post much, and of course that is me in the others.

You just reminded me...there's an arboretum not too far from where I live...I should go there there sometime.

I don't know about your aboretum,but this arboretum IS cool. If Prince ever hosts another celebration all the fams should head down the road because it's VERY close and well worth the trip.

Thanks to everyone for the nice compliments on the photos, but it wasn't hard to take nice photos being as I now have a good digital camera and the place is so beautiful.

Beautiful! We went to the Arboretum in Chicago last year, but we were too early for the fall colors.
