I'm with Red. Crying can be very touching, certainly, but to see someone break down in true pain isn't something I'd call "beautiful." Certainly, it's a big moment and hopefully it will bring some insight, but it tears me up to see people break down.

Nope! I am just giving you examples of extreme cases, I mean this is a discussion, right? wink

Well now your talkin about a guy punching a woman in the face and then crying, well if the woman believes that shit then she must be one dingy broad, I mean how can you forgive somebody for something like that?

There are lots of dingy broads, then, unfortunately. Men can manipulate with tears just as easily as women can. It's not that uncommon in domestic violence cases for the woman to say because the man cried. "Awww...he must really love me to cry like that."

Yes it is! Thankfully, my floodgates opened in June 2002 and I've been able to cry as needed since!

I have two brothers, and a father. They dont cry tears alot. But I can see them crying inside when they are upset and that is the most awful thing, when they ARE so emotional anyway, yes they can express their feelings, but crying maybe not, so whats this big deal about shedding tears? Men are not robots and just cos they dont cry it doesnt make them any less "human" than women. (as Mizzunderstood said in her opeing post)

You are certainly right. All I am saying is that being able to cry has proven to be soothing for me. I probably can count on two hands the number of times I've cried in the past 5 years. But there was a long time where I just had this deep ACHE within and I wanted to cry to help relieve the pain a little.

Fuck! Dont you think men have enough worries about what is right and wrong in society than listeing to womenn say its ok to cry, yet when they become a "new man", overly sensitive and equal, we women still want tham to be macho etc etc.

Look everyone is different. Accept the person for who they are, tears or no tears and just get on with life.

I just think it mitigates the whole meaning of crying to say, "Awww...isn't that beautiful." I'd be pretty insulted if I was breaking down and all that someone could think of is how beautiful it is that I'm crying simply because I'm male.

Why are so many men afraid to cry? I don't think I ever seen man cry until my early 20's and when I did I was shocked. I didn't know what 2 think, but honestly when I do see a man cry I truly think it's a beautiful thing, because to me it's like he's showing his sensitive side and he's not so caught up in the whole male egostical thing. Once a guy friend told me, if a man cries in front of his girl, it means that he trust her... every since then I've been aware of that thought. I say men should be more intouch with their emotions other then just sex. It let's us women folk know that ur human too lol.

Fellas, don't be afraid 2 cry.

NO, JD, you have to read all the posts. I dont think men are wimps for crying, neither do I think they are tough for not crying, but as Mizzunderstood and Paisley were saying that it is a beautiful thing, that a man can cry, thats just crap.

Fuck, I thought me and Moonbeam had sorted this out. As I said before, we are not judging men who cry or dont, just seems some women do or have judged them cos of this thread, and never seem happy whether the man is sensitive or macho.

..And the guy who cries at the same thing a girl cries at the movies??? WTF??? He probably isnt crying, but trying to make her happy by attempting to get in touch with a womans feelings.

Hell, men and women were made differently, we have different hormones etc etc, why do we always have to be equal??? disbelief
