GRAFF* ART * #2 does anybody appreciate illegal art??? well not in all cases is it illegal depending on the canvas...be it a wall, train, bus, etc.!

various cities, DAIM I think is from germany, DONDI nyc & the notorius CBS crew "can't be stopped" is mos def from la/sanfernando valley... my friends own a tourist/gift shop on melrose in hollywood and they asked my cousin to plaque a huge mural on the side of there store and behind it in the alley where most everyone else has tagged and painted... once he started the project we were hit up by some members of CBS saying that whole area was where they exclusively painted and we were wasting our time cuz they would go over it faster than a bum eatin a ham sandwich... we quit the project ...some of these crews act a lil gang like and have been known to shoot at if respect isn't paid but that's not what worried me... it's the fact that they are professional vandals and I think although most of their youngsters are still to young nd scared to shoot you it would be there pleasure to slash tires or who knows,, To Sir, with Love | |

You know, it's nice work, most of it. Except the ones who suck at it.
I actually really dig the ones that hijack BILLBOARDS! There was one recently that used the skull and bones of Pirates of the Carrabean and did a whole piece around it! Too cool! Also, it's a great anti-advertising thing, very anti the norm and jamming that. BUT, but fucking BUT, when the punks start spraying their shit over public art or when they graffiti up a mural, another artists work that's fucking chicken shit.   | |
