I admit that I once stood seven hours outside a pub without food or drink, eagerly awaiting licencing hours returning back to the cylindrical 24-hour day cycle.
I haven't ever brought a dead pigeon to life though.

I dont know why but some peoples comments here I find quite sad. The guise of something honorable, or a good cause is what this "magic stunt" is about. It's ultimately about him. It's insulting to people who actually fast for honorable causes. ` [This message was edited Sun Oct 19 12:09:41 PDT 2003 by Supernova] This post not for the wimp contingent. Im interested in the extent 2 which the human body has survived and hopefully his memoirs will give us some indication as 2 his account. Its those boorish British folks, who give us a bad name who R the 'asseholes'. Havent they got anything better 2 do than 2 shout abuse and hurl stuff at him? Fair play 2 David Blaine an admirable experiment. I will co-sign with You on the fact that the British publics behaviour towards the whole thing has been nothing less than savagery. However, I think I'd respect it more if small-penis Blaine was doing this for some particular reason ike maybe Charity, as opposed to his own personal gain. He doesn't need any more popularity and now I think that it has split ppl's opinion of him right down the middle. As U can tell I am NOT a Blainiac! 'dre I agree. You can pay to see it live in the internet when he comes out of his box. I wonder where that money goes. Although, I have the "David Blaine channel" already on satellite TV, and I will be watching it when he comes out. Just came back, and it was a zoo. People all over the place and policemen wandering around looking lost, screaming at the random. David Blaine was so melodramatic about the whole thing - there was some fucking weird music playing and clips of interviews, like a soundtrack to his 44 days (I wonder if they will be selling it!!)
He had a microphone in his box and at one point he started crying though the crowd couldn't figure out what was going on. At first it sounded kinky, then it sounded like he had to use the toilet. Apparently they rushed him to a hospital straight away. I took plenty of photos, lord knows how they turned out! Didn't get very close cause there were so many people... Supposedly he was supposed to be brought down at 9 pm but after half a dozen false countdowns he came down at 9:55 instead. He had a sweater on, too. ~ the end ~ I mean, like, where is the sun?

David Blaine leaves suspe...r 44-days
The Associated Press LONDON -- Severely weakened by 44 days of self-imposed starvation, American magician David Blaine on Sunday left the clear plastic box that has been his home -- and a major London tourist attraction. Thousands of spectators watched the 30-year-old Blaine exit the box, which was suspended by a crane near Tower Bridge, after it was lowered to the banks of the Thames River. After living on only water since Sept. 5, Blaine was taken to a hospital for examination. Londoners spent the first few weeks of Blaine's incarceration taunting the New York illusionist, pelting his box with eggs or zapping him with laser pens. One man was arrested for firing paint-filled balloons at the box, which measures 7 feet-by-7 feet-by-3 feet, and another was fined for trying to damage the water supply. But in recent weeks ridicule has turned to respect, prompting large crowds of well-wishers to gather by the river and watch Blaine grow thinner, hairier and more disheveled. Sky TV estimated that 250,000 spectators visited the site since the stunt started, and traffic in surrounding streets has been snarled for weeks due to the large numbers of people driving through the area to catch a glimpse.
