Norton Sytemworks 2004 woes Ok. This is really pissing me off, so I figured I'd throw this question into the wild.
I recently uninstalled Norton Systemworks 2003 and installed the new Norton Systemworks 2004. Now my email scanning doesn't work. When I send or recieve email, there used to be a dialog box that would notify me the mail was being scanned. This no longer appears. I went under the options and specifically set it to scan email, and to show the dialog box. I even removed the check marks in these options, rebooted, and added the check marks again. Then I did a complete uninstall, stripped every reference to Syamntec and Norton I could find in my registry, and deleted every folder with the name Symantec or Norton I could find on my hard drive and did a complete reinstall of it, and I am still having the same problem. I know email scanning isnt completely necessary, but this irks the hell out of me, and Symantec only offers paid support, and my phone # blocks 900 calls, so I cant even do that. Has anyone else experienced the same problem, and/or know how to fix it??? | |
