What's your favorite made for TV movie

I remember a Mark Harmon movie called 'After the Promise',
wife dies and he has the kids, they all get taken into
foster care, split up and then reunite years later.

another is 'Doing Time on Maple Drive' with a dramatic Jim Carrey,
in a family drama with the usual issues, abortion,
alcoholism and homosexuality.

Lifetime, can you hear me?

I think Scum was originally made for TV (but I think it was a previous version). That's a very unique film. It's nasty but I think it has a deeper undertext.

Allow me to educate...

It's a film about young kids in a British prison. There is constant violence, the younger children are living in fear, some of the kids are as young as 12 and have learning dificulties, and the wardens beat up on them as much as the convicts do. Until one guy comes along and decides that he's not going to see the kids treated that way. He beats up some of the nastiest charecters in the jail and he is therefore made the 'daddy' to protect the littlens.

1) I Know My First Name Is Steven:

It was based on a true story about a seven-year-old boy called Steven Stayner who was kidnapped and held for seven years by a child abuser who told him that his parents had given him away, and then eventually told him that they had died.

The second half of the film was equally dramatic in detailing the difficulties he had in readjusting to his family when he was finally reunited with them.

A few months after the film was completed, Steven died in a road accident. What a shitty life.

2)To Catch A Killer:
Brian Dennehy is just really off-the-scale scary as the killer clown John Wayne Gacy. boxed

So they're my fave made 4 TV movies, as the first really got 2 me,
and the second as Brian Dennehy is just awesome in it.

Useless Trivia Dept:
Corin Nemec (the actor who played Steven) now plays 'Jonas Quinn' in SG-1...
