I would suggest HIV / AIDS tests for every sexually active person at least every 6 months. There is no SURE way of knowing who is and who isn't positive. shrug

I don't mean to question your judgement here Paisley...but, I just want you to know 2 of my clients (I'm an HIV Case Manager) which I have started working with in the past 6 months are straight women who contracted HIV from 'long term monogamous partners.' Both of them were shattered because they thought they "knew him and trusted him." Only to find out later that they didn't know him as well as they thought they did.

Not to be an alarmist, but I will be. smile If you are having sex, you should be checked for HIV.

As for me, I go in every 6 months...

I got checked in 94 when I was pregnant with my babygirl. My hubby has to be checked once a year because of the military and he's all good, yes I do look at the test results!!! he gets mad everytime but hey he IS gone alot. and I am a realist. Not trying to get HIV.

I was checked at a VERY young age before HIV was even readily known because I kept getting sick. I haven't had any reason to check since.
