the comments i receive on a daily basis deserve a little defensiveness.

You really seem to be obsessed.

Yeah he would have to go there...but in his defense, I said that when this thing first went down. Kobe is damn near 7 feet tall. That thing has got to be long. If your body is not used to that, it would do some damge, whether it was consenual or not. Hell, I've given birth to twins and the thought of doing it to a dude that big scares me.boxed

You're talking about the height of a man, not something specifically related to an ethnicity. The obsessed one is talking specifically about black men.

you must have the reading comprehension skills of a pre-schooler.

what does "if the stereotype is true" mean to you? it means i was acknowledging that a stereotype exists. which is true!

it seems like you are the one obsessed with making me out to be a racist. get a life.

chemmie, do you have to just always insult someone? take the high road for once.

Well, I do agree with everyone that if Kobe did the crime, he has to face the music. I also agree with everybody that her sex history, however recent, does not preclude the possibility that she was raped.

However, I am becoming more and more convinced that Kobe will not be convicted, for several reasons. First, if the hints of the sex prior to the alleged incident are true, it could cause a forensic nightmare that will be very difficult if not impossible to sort out. This would mean that the physical evidence would be inconclusive. Second, the physical evidence (underwear) presented to investigators contained DNA of other men. Third, the night auditor, a female, detected nothing wrong with the accuser right after the event. Fourth, the woman allegedly suffered from some significant mental and emotional problems in the months prior to the alleged incident. Finally, if what I read on this thread were true, she set Kobe up in a hotel room away from his entourage, which indicates she wanted unfettered access to him

Even with all these facts, she could have still been raped, but this is enough in my mind to sow seeds of reasonable doubt. And that's before defense attorneys tear into any ulterior motives she might have. In a small, rural county court, anything can happen, but I wouldn't bet the farm on a conviction..

there is a valid reason why the kobe

incident needs 2 be discussed in

the politics and religion forum

politics and race play a huge factor

in this case

the issue is bigger than kobe

its bigger than basketball

it's an american issue

black men were routinely

wrongly convicted of raping

white women

in america's dirty, racist past,

black men were lynched,

castrated and hung from trees

like a piece of strange fruit

the black man's sexuallity

has often been seen as threatening

in america

this country has tried 2 demasculize

disinfranchise and obliterate

black men

when will it end?

Try and spin it any way you want to. The fact of the matter is that you brought up a black racial stereotype in this thread where none existed. Don't be mad. Your Olive Garden 'friends' will forgive you even if nobody else will.

When you stop acting like victims.

Organize.

Beat them at their own game.

It's hard. I know.

Educate your children. Put them through school. Changes are coming. Slowly, I admit.

Excellent comment Gooey. I couldn't have said it better myself. I don't think this case has anything to do with the fact that Kobe is black. I think it has more to do with the fact that he's an extremely rich nba player. Whether he is innocent or guilty remains to be seen. I do hope justice is served.
