I thought the fact that her and hubby got £37,000 a year in benefits and neither works for a living rather annoying.

Exactly!!! They were nasty, horrible people. I cannot believe they are not ashamed of their behaviour! But then again, they wouldnt know, would they?

I felt sorry for the other couple, and Lizzy calling her a slag and shit, that was just unneeded. I know who I would rather have in my house!

And how many times did theyhave to say the "F" word? Limited Vocabulary. Those kids are gonna grow up just like their parents, but WORSE! eek

Give them their due - they were obviously victims of some difficult circumstances - she suffers from chronic asthma and nicotine addiction, and he suffers her, expressing it with a rich and varied vocabulary.

It was good to see them sharing all of this with the children.

Give them their due??? No way! They were not compromising, they had no manners, they wouldnt sit back and listen, they had behavioural problems! Come on, they are adults! They should learn how to ACT like adults, not spoilt bullying selfish brats!

Red - I'm taking the piss. smile

The woman would have failed a stupidity test even if she'd managed to get out of bed and find the examination room.

Horrible, horrible people! It's people like that who make me want to live in the middle of nowhere as far away from civilisation as possible!

And the amount of benefits they get is ridiculous. What do they spend it on? Well, if the video was anything to go by: 1) cigarettes 2) Beer (that guy had a can in his hand in nearly every scene!) 3) dodgy hair attachments!

I myself was one of four children and my parents had to struggle hard to raise us. My father did not swear like that creature and my mother took great care of herself, even with limited money - we didn't get the benefits that they did that's for sure.

Their behaviour was a disgrace to human beings and his language!!! How can we teach young people to have respect when they watch people like that. I was, as a child, poor but happy.

Wonder what PRINCE would have thought of that - hope he wouldn't think we are all the same in the UK!!!

Lizzy kept saying she was "moralistic" lol, she wouldnt know morals if they slapped her in the face!

Oh and her husband saying that Emma was trying to make him look a prick cos he did housework, she wasnt doing that, and he didnt need her help anyway, cos he was a prick!

And I thought it was awful when he came back from the pub and rolled a smoke then expected Emma to get up and make him a cup of tea!

disbelief and sad

Indeed...i watched this last night and was shocked, i started out liking Lizzy and ended up hating her.

She was jealous of Emma and her lovely family, calling Emma's husband a "wuss", well my dear...he's ten times the man then your husband will ever be.

I was shocked they are getting 37K a year on benefits, it goes on fags and cans from what i can see. I hope someone was watching from the authorities to investigate why they are getting more then most working people earn.

Shame on them, shame on them for having no self control and using contraception. 8 children these days is just madness, it's hard enough raising two children, let alone eight.

No self control, no morals, no education, i lived in a poor area of the city and my family were not well off either.

But my mother did a fantastic job and ensured i had a very strong moral background and knowing right from wrong, and using common sense.

I sincerely hope the contract stated that payment of a fee became discretionary to a participant if the participant withdrew from the exercise.

Therapy

I did see this last nite and I had quite a big reaction to what I was seeing.

I thought the husband that did nothing, I could never have a relationship with a man like him, EVER.

I actually genuinely felt for Lizzie in the end. She is living a life where she doesn't realise how lazy her husband is being, because of her insecurities. They seem to have a symbiotic relationship - he provides her with security, she provides him with slavery (that's how I see it.) It is no laughing matter, the fear she was exhibiting with her husband betraying her. And the venomous way she spoke with the other couple... I wondered about that in the most compassionate way, she has obviously been badly abused in her life. You only have to look at the life she has chosen with that lazy arse hole to realise that, she is continuing a pattern/theme that was probably started early in her life.

She seemed to feel inferior and jealous and paralysed with fear and engulfed with rage. I felt for her big time. But I also thought she was gross and a gobshite shrug

I admired the other couple and felt defensive of the man (Colin?) when Liz was calling him a wimp. I think he seemed to be a lovely sensitive man and I warmed to him and admired his breaking of the 'norms' in this society of the role of 'man'. I want one of him!

An enjoyable and infuriating watch!! biggrin
