Metamorphosis I change every year, in different ways. But the one common denominator with each iteration is this: I get stronger.
Your God is inside. Can you feel Him? I'm going to the next level...how about you? Fear is the mind-killer.

I change and grow stronger every year as well, though I wouldn't ascribe it to any "god".

As once the winged energy of delight
Rainer Maria Rilke As once the winged energy of delight carried you over childhood's dark abysses, now beyond your own life build the great arch of unimagined bridges. Wonders happen if we can succeed in passing through the harshest danger; but only in a bright and purely granted achievement can we realize the wonder. To work with Things in the indescribable relationship is not too hard for us; the pattern grows more intricate and subtle, and being swept along is not enough. Take your practiced powers and stretch them out until they span the chasm between two contradictions...For the god wants to know himself in you. heh heh again [This message was edited Sat Oct 11 16:27:22 PDT 2003 by 2the9s] [This message was edited Sat Oct 11 16:28:13 PDT 2003 by 2the9s]

Your God is inside. Can you feel Him? I'm going to the next level...how about you? Teller, YOU ARE THE BOMB! I also am changing and I've noticed it A LOT this year. I think I'm in the cocoon stage to becoming the person I want to be. I've learned so much over the last two years and I'm not the same DudeDrops I once was...and I think my friends and loved ones notice this. Life is hard...but Im harder.

Life is hard...but Im harder. Excellent! Like a river, we are ever-changing, yet constant. Flow, man, flow! Fear is the mind-killer.

Unlike a river, however, we can choose what we want to become. :O

Your God is inside. Can you feel Him? I'm going to the next level...how about you? I love this Teller. Some other things I've learned along the way ~ when you believe you've unraveled the final layer, you've really only just started. I've mellowed as I've become older ~ less judgmental, and minor things just don't matter any more. But, the core values ~ those issues that are most important ~ they become priority and the focus of the day. Also ~ I've discovered that the calmer and quieter I am, the more I can feel my God inside. And this helps in the sharing of it with others in a very simple and nonintrusive way. When they feel your Spirit ~ your peacefilled presence ~ it is like a quiet wash of color that stays with them.

is it possible to become more non-judgmental, yet more radical at the same time? i'm struggling with that - while i have come to respect people for wherever they are right now, my convictions have become stronger and more radical.
oh, and i'm hornier than ever... go figure!

And, just to be serious for a moment...
I understand your using a "year" timespan wasn't literal, but I still wanted to say that the length of time in between each "metomorphosis" I experience varies greatly...could be one year or one hour...it's hard for me to mark off my spiritual/emotional growth in terms of anything other than by those moments that have a profound and lasting effect on me... And I, too, have the common denominator of growing stronger behind each spiritual movement forward...along with growing wiser...more knowledgeable (of myself, past and present)...more accepting and forgiving (of myself and others...)...more at peace (feeling true strength, widsom, knowledge and empathy can have that effect)...and more in tune with the beauty of the world, and of life. Great thread, Teller...

I hear that...it's hard to hear subtle truths when there are many voices shouting at once. Calm and quiet drastically improve the signal-to-noise ratio... You ever notice that when you walk into a convenience store in a good mood, if you're really friendly and smile, the cashier sometimes smiles back? Fear is the mind-killer.

oh, and i'm hornier than ever... go figure! "Radical" just means you're going where few have gone before in a certain respect. You can go way out there without condemning those that mingle in the mainstream. There are more than enough frontiers, but everyone cannot explore everything... Enjoy! Fear is the mind-killer.

Indeed...a year is a handy figure, but there is only the sequence of events...and decisions... At it sounds like you're feeling very much "at home in the universe." Fear is the mind-killer.

oh, and i'm hornier than ever... go figure! ABSOLUTELY ~~~ just ask TRON ~~ he was a major energy force to my new "radical" movement when I was 47. It was apparent to us both that it wasn't so much a new persona, but elements of who I always truly was that were emerging. Many people didn't like it and were uncomfortable with the changes but they felt so natural I cannot imagine ever going back into the "dark ages". Monumental parts of the journey included an introduction to Bjork and eventually Prince. Your statement ~ "my convictions have become stronger and more radical" ~ exactly what I am speaking of about the core beliefs becoming the most essential! Oh Yeah ~ the hornier part??? I'm right there with you on that one too!!! It's great unless there's no one to share it with.

I am constantly in a state of flux.
The ability to "Power Up" through each change is a definate plus. Knowing how to handle being stronger is where I give thanks. I AM King BAD a.k.a. BAD,
