I think the public are just not buying his tomfoolery. true...you never know, one of the british tabloids might come up with sumfin about him: David Blaine: Exclusive Pictures Of Him Eating a Full-Course Meal Every Night During His Stunt!  
Also the stuff he has written on his box, about an exploration of how strong we all are in mind, body and spirit, I think that many people have their strength tested in unfortunate circumstances, but he just doesn't move me with this statement because it doesn't seem sincere. We all cope with adversity in life. This is a magic trick.
