Don't ever see a QT movie with a bunch of dumbasses that have never seen a QT movie before. They almost ruined the flick for me.

stymie said: First, the talking through the film by those who had seen it already, the reading of the credits ALOUD and the many mentions of "this is some dumb-assed shit". Then, the dummies who obviously didn't know it was going to be in two parts, etc. If you don't know how QT's flicks work, then you would definately be completely lost.
Hmmm I see. The first example has no excuse. The second is just plain , the third is not necessary. Your last example always amazes me. How can people not hear all the buzz about things being in more than one part. I swear when I saw Fellowship Of The Ring a few people were coming out saying "what a weird ending", "I didn't know there was going to be another one" and stuff like that. I was like "Hello? The Lord Of The Rings? Tolkien?" Just somewhere in the middle,

The only QT movie I ever really liked was Jackie Brown. So I think I'll wait for DVD. Plus I read that the U.S. theatrical release is edited more than the int'l/Japanese release, cuz QT had to take more out in order to get an MPAA "R" rating. I thought Jackie Brown was good but I couldn't help feeling a little disappointed because I was expecting another Pulp Fiction (my fault entirely). I read the Elmore Leonard novel it was based on afterwards (Rum Punch I think?) and much preferred it. Funny what you say about the international release of Kill Bill. I always thought our releases in the UK are cut for violence much more than in the States. If an American action movie has anything remotely resembling a head butt that is the first cut made. Chopping people's arms off with swords seems to be OK though, goody goody! Just somewhere in the middle,

It may have just been the Japanese release then that was unedited. In any case, I can only imagine what director's cut on the DVD will look like. 1) Kill Bill aka Keith Carradin (sic) is indeed in Volume 1
and 2) for me this is the best QT movie thus far...it combines the best elements of Pulp Fiction (mainly the pulp) with the best elements of Jackie Brown (mainly the silent character development and quiet action)... Think of it this way, when Vivica A Fox and Uma Thurman fight, not only are you seeing two chicks duck it out, you feel and understand the emotions in their "acting"...you know why "The Bride" wants revenge and you sympathize (sic) with her...and damn do you feel for Vivica's character... you never got that with Pulp...it was all about the cheese...and when you awoke half way through Jackie Brown you got to experience some awesome acting from Grier, Jackson, DeNiro and Keaton... its like the best of both worlds...and i loved it!!! cant wait for the second volume.. and fuck the mispells...im drunk...blame Meshell!! Space for sale...
