Slippery than a baby just out the hole... There was a discussion the other night about whether men should witness their babies being born.
One panelist insisted that the hubby should n't associate where he lays his meat to seeing this "monstrosity" of blood and writhing...that it'll effect their sexual life permanently. Sounds like a real sensitive chap...

If intimacy & love are the foundation and basis of your sexual desires for your partner, then seeing the beautiful experience of your child's first moments within the world should only enhance those feelings of intimacy and love, not erase them...

There's nothing wrong with a man being in the delivery room, I think it's beautiful.

Of the men who are supportive of the pregnancy, 99.9% of my patients' husbands/boyfriends want to be there during the delivery--by their own choice, not because she asked. They cry tears of joy and are literally blown away emotionally by the experience. If anything, it brings a couple together like nothing else can.

In my opinion, any man that feels that way doesn't deserve to have children. That makes me sick that anyone would think about it in that manner. Oh shit, my hat done fell off

I'm not even sure the mother should be there.

A few of them insist on so many epidurals and shots of morphine, that they're not! Seriously, though, one of the coolest things I've experienced working with midwives and their patients is how almost all of the women are totally into the natural childbirth when at all possible, so they will be fully aware and present in the entire experience--and know when to push! The idea that you shouldn't feel anything or you should totally numb yourself during childbirth is actually kinda scary. On the other hand, no one is giving out medals for how much pain a woman can bear, either. LOL Pain meds are appropriate at times.....
