What talk radio shows do you listen to?

Personally, I used to listen to Howard Stern, but the station that carred him here dumped him. So now I'm stuck with Bob & Tom confused

But, the ones I listen to most frequently are

Jay Marvin & Eileen Burn (890AM WLS, Chicago)

Roe Conn & Garry Maier (890AM WLS, Chicago)

from time to time, I listen to Coast To Coast AM (formerly and occasionally still hosted by Art Bell)

Kim Komando (on weekends)

Matt Drudge (weekends)

Tony Brown (weekends, WLS again)

plus, I sometimes check out Rush Limbaugh, just to get worked up and pissed off and scream at him, but also to find out what people I disagree with are saying/believing.

what do you listen to?

Fresh Air, hosted by Terry Gross (NPR - no, not that NPR, National Public Radio).

Tony Bruno (syndicated).

The Loose Cannons (XTRA Los Angeles/San Diego/Riverside/pretty much all of SoCal can get it, I believe).

oh! i forgot Fresh Air. maybe because i'm not a regular listener, but i hear it fairly frequently. it's always interesting, even if it does have that... um, shall we say... "sterile" ... NPR vibe.

plus, a good friend of mine from college works as an assistant producer for it.

i can't even follow his show. he'll be talking to a guest and then all of a sudden he's talking about something else. it's like they tape the show, and then splice it up, and pick out a random order to edit it for air.

just listen to WLS from 9-11 and 2-7 and you'll be fine smile

Then you got the idiots who call in making all worse, then on top of that you got his stupid ass co-hosts in the back talking nonsense and gibberish...it does make for a very confusing and stupid morning show.

Yesterday I was listening to Fresh Air, and Bill O'Reilly (sp?) got really agitated with Terry Gross. I can't remember exactly what the topic was, but he kept asking her; "Did you ask Al Franken that?", "Did you grill Franken as hard as you grill me?" (<---paraphrased), over and over again. He finished his spiel and told Terry that the interview was over. Terry said, "Oh, so you're just gonna have the last say and not answer the question?" She really kept her composure, unlike him. I was waiting for her to get back at him like she did Gene Simmons when he acted a neanderthal, but she let him run his mouth and kept calm. She did ask him the question that initially upset him (a few times), but he never answered.

I was glad he was agitated.

I've watched and listened to several interviews with him in the last few weeks. It's hilarious the way that he totally goes apeshit on people on his own show, but even the most mild-mannered and innocuous question when HE'S the one being interviewed sets him off into a rage.

I don't know why shows even have him on. Interviewing interviewers seems rather incestuous for talk-tv and radio.

I used to listen to Phil Hendri (nights) on 105.9 WCKG, but he's not there anymore. Plus, I don't think WCKG does talk anymore. Anyone know what happened to that guy?

he's nationally syndicated, isn't he? the name is very familiar and if it's who i'm thinking of, i've heard him in a few markets travelling around, so scan the dial. i think he's still on.

Exactly.

I think he's been promoting his book "Who's Watching After You?" or something like that.

Good question. I used to listen to him too. He's the guy who hosted the "fake" talk show. In other words, all his guests weren't real, and the topics were current events usually. It was like listening to a daytime talk show like Jerry Springer (without the wretched trashy people), or like Morton Downey Jr.'s old night time show. Hendri himself was/is the voice of some of his callers. It's all parody.

Yeah, that's what he's doing. Still, it seems strange that the competition is putting him on their airwaves and shows.

There is good news though. In the TV appearances I've seen him make lately, he's not using his regular Fox News make-up and hair person, and he's looked like total shit. Like he's about to drop dead. woot!
