Any1 have any good money saving tips? I was unemployed for 3 months a couple summers ago and it was a real eye opener. Thankfully my folks spotted me for my car payment till I got a new job. But in the meantime it was pretty cool. I entertained myself each day by trying to do as much as possible with little to no money. Art galleries, parks, renting music CDs from your library, public transportation, etc. There is alot to see and do, and it will save alot of money and cost next to nothing. What happened to the days when women married for love? It's only recently that women truly are able to marry for love. In the past, women had to marry whomever was going to make the best match for her financially--usually the person her parents approved of as well. Now that women have the education and ability to make their own money, that means they can marry for love. It's only the whores who marry for money nowadays!

Money saving tips:
--buy food at the grocery store (clip coupons and/or be aware of where the sales are) and cook at home; try to avoid eating out --use public transportation and buy annual or monthly passes (big discounts) --save receipts and then draw up a budget; sometimes people try to make a budget based on guessing how much they are spending. Seeing the actual total of the receipts can help a person realize where they need to cut back --the pub/clubs. Enough said --go to the movies during the day, if possible, and bring your own drinks/snacks [This message was edited Thu Oct 9 21:34:18 PDT 2003 by AnotherLoverToo]

This is my thing for saving money.
I try to save at least 6 dollars a day for six years. After six years, you will have a little over $13,000. This is the savings I like to use for major things like vacatios and such. I save in this fund all the time so I will always have money for major things. This is in addition to any other saving plans that you already have. The Roth IRA is a good saving plan also. You can put up to $2,000 a year into this. Since you are putting money that is already taxed, when you take the money out after retirement you don't have to pay any taxes or fees. Of course, you shouldn't spend more than you have. We all know that.
