What an odd site. "There's this black person in the little town I grew up in. Do you know him?" I always like that one.

Why don't you? (Seriously...no judgement, just curiosity) If you read the letters/comments on the site, you'll probably see that you're not alone in seeing the site and "not getting the humor"...most, tho (I think), pretty much took the site as what it is: a commentary on the various forms that racism can take. (the quote from the guy saying Sally and Johnny refer to him as "The black Ryan" sealed the deal in my eyes...lol).. Thanks, by the way, for responding to my question...

Personally, I thought it was pretty funny. The letters page is the funniest thing about it... some people really need to lighten up.

Why don't you? (Seriously...no judgement, just curiosity) It's a demonstration of how ignorant some white folks can be. Yes we are a sad race sometimes.

It's a parody to show how silly it is that some folks feel it's strange to have white people and black people gather together and chill... to some people it a real curious situation because most people do not gather with people of different colors... so this makes fun of the folks who think it's a big deal when in fact people can chill whatever the color...

Reading over the "Letters" section of this site, it becomes clear as fuck that some people just flat out don't understand the value and power of satire, nor can they fully grasp the tremendous difference between satire and humor.
On a thread that is now closed, I had a fight with an .orger (who will not be named) who similarly could not understand satire at all. Granted, some people might get offended at such shit. But to say there's no value and that satire is equally as bad as the target for which it was created is total nonsense. It's not meant to be serious. It's not meant to be "funny." It's much much more than these things...it's education. Strong fucking education. Think of all the people who live day-to-day believing they don't have a racist bone in their body, and don't recognize the institutional racism that surrounds them...they pop on a site like this, and they'll start questioning some of their assumptions, and why they think of certain people in certain ways, but not others in similar ways. I like pizza. "Drop that stereo before I blow your Goddamn nuts off, asshole!"

I think it's funny, and that a lot of black people don't realize that it skewers whites, not blacks. Good night, sweet Prince | 7 June 1958 - 21 April 2016

I feel it's a great commentary not just on the subtle racism which exists, but especially showing the oblivion of "white America" to their own hypocrisy. It exhibits how some folks put a ton of effort into taking what they enjoy from another culture purely for their own entertainment, viewing others as existing solely for their pleasure.

and the sad thing is that many of those people will see this site and think that it doesn't apply to them.
