I just downloaded a firewall on my laptop b/c of the worms that went around a few months ago but now i can't use any of those peer to peer music sites! Any suggestions??? I miss downloading music so easily!

You may have accidentally instructed the firewall to deny the software access to the internet. I'm not familiar with Norton's Firewall myself, but check the logs to see what has been denied access. You should be able to remove it from the list.

usually, after you install norton's firewall, each time you go to use a program that attempts to gain access to the internet, it will prompt you with a dialog box asking you if you want to permit access.

if you're not getting this dialog box, check the settings on your firewall.

Hey I'm using the firewall that's built in to the internet connection...I guess it's what came with Windows XP...I have the same problem...anything I can do??? I miss getting music too.
