mp3 help with burning

Sorry, I am a novice.

I am running Windows ME and had to reinstall everything. Long story short, I have mp3 music files and wmp files. When I go to burn a cd, the creator only finds the mp3's to burn??? Can I turn the 'windows media player' flies to mp3? Do I try to change the burner's preferences? I can tell it to 'serach for all music files' and it will find everything, just won't let me bring them over to burn. I don't think i had this problem before the re-install. Any help would be appreciated.

What CD burner are you using?

Ahhh... ew lol

I have never heard of such a thing, but I do not use Adeptec. Make sure that you are doing the correct type of burn, though. Not trying to make a MP3 CD. You should see all music formats.

I reccomend Nero. It is FAR better than Adeptec.

in agreement with Twisted adapted eats goat's ass Use Nero Burning Rom at www.ahead.de and download the newest version. its very easy to use, if u want to make just an mp3 cd, burn it as a data disc and drag said mp3's over wmp files must be converted.

Newer versions of nero and easy cd creator will burn Windows Media files as well. You can also burn CDs via Windows Media Player, though I think it only works with version 8 on up.

Thad - when you are adding your tracks, try changing the files of type to 'all'. In Creator 5 (which is the version that I have) it's under View|Show Files then checkmark 'All Files". It should load the files in your list regardless of the extension-association. Somehow some of your audio audio files were associated with your Windows Media Player while some were not.
