Ah Chris, I see. I couldn't pull that off. The hair on my cheeks is too patchy to fill in completely. Even around the jaw. So I'm pretty much stuck with a goatee. But I'm glad that it looks good on me.

Goatee. I've actually grown one before, but I'm not sure it suits me. OTOH, a goatee looks pretty good on one of my brothers.

*Lammastide's Personal Rules on Facial Hair:

Women: None. No exceptions!
Black men: Either a neat, well-developed goatee or zero facial hair.
White men: Zero facial hair or a 5 o'clock shadow. (Not a manicured one, just natural new growth.)
Other men: I generally prefer no facial hair.

Full beards are generally horrible, with two exceptions:

1) If they are temporary and the result of not being able to shave over an extended period -- thereby being sort of primitively rugged and sexy. (Intentional, manicured full beards look too "Bee Gees" to me); or

2)If they are intentional, but closely cropped and DO NOT INCLUDE a moustache. Amish guys, for example, wear beards without moustaches, and they look adorable.
