SCHOOL OF ROCK! I just got back from seeing "School of Rock" and I have to say that it's the funniest and cutest movie I've seen in a long time.
The music was amazing (and actually played by the kids in the movie) Jack Black was SO hilarious and loveable and it's really something that kids and adults can enjoy together. The soundtrack is awesome and so was my company during the movie (thanks again to my wonderful friend ) GO SEE SCHOOL OF ROCK! http://www.schoolofrockmovie.com/

Jack Black is hilarious. This movie is on my must-see list. "That...magic, the start of something revolutionary-the Minneapolis Sound, we should cherish it and not punish prince for not being able to replicate it."-Dreamshaman32

I've liked Jack Black for quite some time--I'm glad to know that he didn't get too cutesy wootsy, and that he stayed true to the insanity that is: Jack Black.

I saw this over the weekend...couldn't agree more, Apples. It was far, far better than I imagined it to be. As well as it touched on the power of music in our lives in a very sincere way (not to mention a quick nod to Sheila E's drumming skills..lol)
I'm assuming you stayed thru the end credits?...

This movie was good fun, and good humor. I saw it a couple of weeks ago at an advanced premier. Very enjoyable, especially for a classic rock junkie like myself. I love the trailers to this movie...
Will this challenge Prince's reign for having the best Rock-n-roll ever made? Secondly, is it better than 8 mile??? Thanks for the laughs, arguments and overall enjoyment for the last umpteen years. It's time for me to retire from Prince.org and engage in the real world...lol. Above all, I appreciated the talent Prince. You were one of a kind.

Look at the Spin with Dave on the cover. Inside is a Black picture worthy of putting in a frame.

I saw it over the weekend and it was hilarious. The kids weren't annoying as most other Hollywood "kids" seem to be. One of my favorite parts is when Jack Black's teaching the guitar player the "ancient art" of the rock "power stance". It was also rather nice to see the kids in awe of musicians like Hendrix, Buddy Rich, Art Blakey, and Keith Moon during their rock appreciation class. I'd forgotten these kids are raised on corporate music like Xtina Aguilera, 50 cent, Mariah, Justin Timberlake etc. [This message was edited Wed Oct 8 6:32:28 PDT 2003 by NovaAngel] "I ordered no broth! It was also VERY inspiring in the same way that the first "Rocky" film was inspiring. You MIGHT be surprised, apples! Rent it this weekend!
