Computer problem

My floppy disc says this disc is not formatted do you want to format it now? I said no.

Now it won't open the files is everything lost?

what type of files are you trying to open...do NOT format the disk you will loose the files.

People still use floppies? omg

Try your disk in another PC. Blow into the disk drive in case there is some dust on the magnetic heads. Also, make sure your disk doesn't have any fluff or dust on it.

It might be fucked. Floppy disks are very unreliable media, I wouldn't recommend ever relying on them. Anyway, blank CDs are cheaper nowadays.
