I have been addicted to Settlers since I first played a freeware demo of the game in around 1995. I can go without it for months, even a year or two, but I eventually end up playing it again. I cant' begin to calculate how many hours I've lost on this pointless game. But when I create my little world, they're "my people" and I don't like leaving them without food or vulnerable to attack. It's stupid. I also can't save the game and come back to it later. I play it all in one go, until I've created a perfect little world and conquered all my foes ... when a Settlers moment hits me, I can play it for hours without a break ... 11 hours in one go was my record. I discovered Age of Empires a couple of years ago. That's good too. Thankfully, I do get bored of it. I haven't played it for around 2 years, then I found the game again and now I'm playing around the clock. Dumb, stupid, addictable game! The guinea pig has a disease...if you play with it..and it bites you...normally, what happens is that your Sim will get sick and die... I have all the expanision packs..they are so much fun... Now I'm waiting for "MAKING MAGIC" expansion pack... The chemistry set is fun...but you have to be careful about which potions you drink...here's the code key... Red - Makes the Sim fall madly in love with another Sim in the neighborhood Orange - Invisibility (for a short time) Yellow - Reverses the Sim's personality traits Light Green - Decreases all motive meters as well as decreases the mood meters of the drinker Green - Creates an evil clone of the drinker Blue - increases some of the motive meters as well as the mood meters of the drinker Purple - causes the drinker to turn into a brain dead monster (who breaks all your appliances) White - cures the Sim who drinks it if he/she is sick Also, if you look through the telescope too long your sim will be abducted by aliens (no lie) but, will be returned later.
