Things here always boil down to that (a popularity contest), sooner or later, though. It's just natural that certain cliques evolve, and that the person in charge will tend to go for those s/he knows and prefers. If we can all just look at it that way--it's almost Darwinian! But that's the whole point! I'm not on Vashti's "radar"--I'm not in her clique--so Orger of the Month would never happen for me. Some of the most amazing people exist here, but they're not gonna be "fun" enough or draw the attention. AND--that is absolutely right and appropriate! If I really feel the need to put my choice of Orger of the Month-- "namepeace"--out there, I should start my own Org Magazine, which is why the whole thing takes on a Darwinian tone. | |
