do you know what irritates me... When either local or basic cable chanels play movies they have to edit for content!!! why even bother!! it just makes it annoying to watch. especially if it is a movie you really enjoy watching. i know how it feels...i was really looking forward to the point where Terrance Bodicker & Co. blow of Officer Murphy's Arm and Leg (Robocop) And also the part where the black dude gets his arm shot off by the Predator from the movie Preadtor Censors: BASTARDS!

I remember watching Lethal Weapon (the first one) a couple of years ago and the censoring was hilarious.

I don't know if it happens in the rest of the world, but here in England some channels have two sound levels - one for the program you are viewing and the other (far louder) for the ads. I'm constantly having to turn the sound down when the ads come one. Now THAT irritates me.

some channels here have started doing that too even though it's against FCC regulations. but then, the FCC doesn't really mean a damn these days.

I understand this but there are some movies that benfit from the edit. It actually makes them better (in a warped funny way) Breakfast Club: I seen it both ways and I do believe the edit is actually better. I have friends that sware by this. They have actually taped the tv version and they editied out the commericals. The dub over is classic. Fast Times: Personally one of my all time favorites. They did such a shitty job with the dub that it makes it seem like an old school saturday morning Kung-Fu theater flick. When he calls mr. hand a dick it's replaced with nerd and the voice doesn't match spacoli's voice. They were off with the mouth movement by a half second. Overall your right but breakfast club is the best with the edit. Sorry for giving you a review these movies just came to mind.
