Verbal or Non-verbal?
I'd say since so many of us are on here typing away all day and night, non-verbal is the way to go

but non verbal(typing) is the only way for alot of us here to speak with eachother to begin with

Both have their place.

Face-to-face is still the most effective form of communication for me, and for most people I think. It's good to get feedback in the form of facial responses, and on an emotional level, it's nice to be "connected" to someone when you're talking to them. I keep eye contact with people I'm interested in, and am quite tactile, so typing will never replace "real" communication for me.

However, with the advent of more smiley's and emoticons, it's easier to get your point across nowadays when you type. I prefer to use email when I'm communicating with someone in a business environment rather than the telephone, as it gives you a chance to answer in your own time, and to clarify things.

I don't get emotionally involved when I type to people ... not very often anyway. There are very few people here on the Org whose words really affect me on an emotional level. There are some ... but they are few and far between.

Definately face-to-face for me, then, whether verbal or non verbal.

I say telepathy.

Depends on who you are talking to and what points you want to get acrossed..
With a man.. sometimes non verbal.. most of the times its in the eyes...
