How did it change or enhance your life?

"Music..brings the people together"

When I was working in a record store, I once told a woman that music was the soundtrack to our lives. Thought that was pretty damn brilliant myself. Only to find out Dick Clark had said it ages ago! pissed Damn him!! mad

Anyway...How has music changed your life or enhanced it? Did it give you a new outlook on life, or different perspective? Any artist in particular or just music in general. Share your experiences here! music

Music has changed my life in so many ways...

Prince was a lifesaver when I was trying to reconcile my conservative Protestant upbringing with my burning curiosity about sex.

The Smiths and Violent Femmes were there after a long high-school day of alienation.

David Bowie, Roxy Music and the rest of the glam rockers made me explore notions of sexuality and gender roles.

The Pet Shop Boys and Erasure helped eradicate the Christian homophobia I had been raised with.

Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds were there for me on those long dark nights of the soul.

Berlin and Mariah Carey were there for me during my first make-out sessions.

Patti Smith, Jim Morrison and Lou Reed's lyrics encouraged me to write my own poetry.

They would like it!!

No, I found a starving cat whilst walking home from the pub. I'm going to go back tomorrow and bring the treats for it.
