How did it change or enhance your life?

"Music..brings the people together"

When I was working in a record store, I once told a woman that music was the soundtrack to our lives. Thought that was pretty damn brilliant myself. Only to find out Dick Clark had said it ages ago! pissed Damn him!! mad

Anyway...How has music changed your life or enhanced it? Did it give you a new outlook on life, or different perspective? Any artist in particular or just music in general. Share your experiences here! music
Thanks! grouphug

2thewhiiines evillol and lucky you, chico! i've always wanted to work in a record store--not in any place like sam goody or some huge wrecka sto chain like that, but one of the local ones that sell mainly vinyl and smell all super-musty when ya step in. drool

anyway, i think music's enhanced my life more than it's changed it. it's provided me with non-stop background fodder for my brain--i'll have several songs stuck in my head at any given point in time, playin kinna like a radio. at times it's annoying...one time i had "my love is forever" stuck in my head for a whole week.

I worked at record stores for about 10 years. A couple major ones and a couple smaller ones as well. So I know what you mean. nod

I love music... love prince

Music makes the people come together
Music makes the bourgeoisie and the rebels

Think of yesterday and I don't look at the clock
I like to boogie-woogie, uh, uh
It's like ridin' on the wind
And it never goes away
Touches everything I'm in
Got to have it every day

Music makes the people come together
Music makes the bourgeoisie and the rebels

Uh, uh, uh...

Moonbeam

It's changed everything. I've been listening to 1999 a lot lately and it's really emotional for some reason. It just reminds me of when I first was getting into music and the great doors that were waiting to be opened to enhance my life. Music has been my best friend on many, many nights.

Byron

Music gave my life atmosphere...

It gave me company...

It expressed my feelings for me...

It created vivid colors within my ears, heart and soul...

It transported me to my past...

It gave me glimpses of what could be...

It let me know how someone else felt...

It made my parties better...

It made my long drives shorter...

It brought me here.
