My personal opinion is that women feel like they'd be viewed as overly aggressive and/or taking on the masculine role if they did the asking. We'll often invite a guy to do something with friends, or to a party where we'll be--that's a typical way of a girl asking a guy out without it seeming like she's doing it.
Plus, I think we're afraid of being told "no". | |

Good question--my best answer would be that if she invites you to a party or group gathering, then spends most of her time paying attention to you, it might be more of a "date". If she's off doing her own thing and paying attention to a different guy--that might be more of a "friends" thang. | |

I doubt that. (both) I would RATHER have a man ask ME bcuz thats when the "relationshit" seems 2 last the longest, plus I'm having a hard time approaching men right now, being newly divorced, but getting over that slowly & if I ask a guy out I'd expect 2 pay & vice versa. Lots of guys enjoy being approached & some dont. U just have 2 feel them out, I guess, & I know lots of women who do ask guys out alot & are OK with it.
