You just don't like THIS picture.
I can understand. It is not my fave either, but a good representation of the things he does.
Slightly odd pics.
Sometimes dirty.

Tillmans photographs lots of things. His CONCORDE series is beautiful. And he has an ability to lift everyday views into something DIFFERENT. Not something beautiful, but something thought provoking.

I work for a gallery that exhibited his work last month. It was cool. He wore very unflattering dungarees to the private view though.

I am always deeply intimidated by artists so I merely stood behind my boss and smiled charmingly.

He's a really nice guy though.

I really wanna meet this guy.

He seems to be looking at the world in kinda the same way as I am.

He lives and works in London now. Hoxton I think. There's a book of his entire work out by Tate Publishing (shameles plug) which is brilliant. He worked on it with us and it contains every image he shot since he was a kid. Apparently he started photographing when he was twelve years old. One of my favourites is a shot of Culture Club and Boy George on stage in the eighties.

I kinda like it, but the images are way too small to make it interesting.
Maybe if you already own everything he did it's nice. But as I only have three books by him up to now, it's just a tease, that book.
