Unfortunately, we will all have bad experiences in life. Some of us will have a lot to deal with in one go, others may be more fortunate and have the bad times spread out over a number of years.

Something that has been on my mind this year is that there's no happy ending. In the end, either we will leave our loved ones or vice versa.

Not to put too much of a downer on things, but some of the experiences you've had will pale in significance to what's around the corner ...

In my opinion, what matters more are the happy times - or rather, appreciating the happy times. One message - don't waste them.

What you said reminds me of a poem I read a few days ago. I can't recall who wrote it but a line it it says:

"I believe that no one is spared the darkness but none of us gets it all"

True, true... And what matters the most is when they leave are you in peace with them, with yourself...

Byron

I refuse to look at any experience as a "worst"...all experiences have positive value and worth, no matter if they're easy or difficult at first to live thru...my sister's death and funeral was definitely one of the harder ones, if not THE hardest...but it wasn't the "worst", because there is beautiful purpose contained within each moment we're blessed to have in our lives. Ignoring that purpose, that positive that my sister's death contained, would be an insult to her.

sooo many of these moments...

i don't wanna list them as i don't want to bring people down.

i think it suffices merely to say that these moments have been many for me, and picking the worst would be difficult

Very true.
Also, what is a "worst experience" is relative. That someone got left by a loved one might sound "easy" to someone who got run over by a car and has to spend the rest of his/her life in a wheelchair.
But the wheelchair bound person must keep in mind that being left by that loved one might have been a catastrophe of equal proportions to the other individual.
All we can do is to appreciate what we have when we have it while we have it. biggrin
