Where the hell is Australia?

Anyone else heard of this place? Prince is supposed to be going there to do a few concerts but I've never heard of the place.

Is it down way off Asia or something, like around where those stringy islands are around New Zealand and Tonga?

I do remember there being a big slab of land down there somewhere.

Australia is a mythical island, much like Atlantis. It is believed to be located somewhere around the bottom of the planet. If you drill deep enough from anywhere else in the world, it is believed you will find "Australia".

Some people have claimed to have found it, and brought back wild stories of sticks which, when thrown, come back to you, animals with huge hind legs and wild dogs which steal babies. Such people are, of course, lunatics and should be treated with great care.

Any of the following words can start such lunatics babbling incoherently about the mythical land "Oz" (a famous film was made about a wizard who was alleged to have inhabited the island). It is believed the following words have magical and spirital powers, so do not repeat them out loud: "vegemite", "sheila", "kangaroo" (honestly, this word has to be magical - who in their right mind would make up a word like this), "billabong" (ditto), "barbie" (it is not known why this word was used and made into a toy for young girls - something sinister is at work here), "dunny", "fair dinkum", "g'day", "grog", "kylie minogue" and "munchkin" (the last two being one and the same thing).

When Prince says he is going to tour "Australia", he is of course speaking metaphorically. What we don't know yet is what "Australia" means to him. My own guess is that he's talking on a metaphysical level, about finding himself. The real truth, however, is anybody's guess.

Oh dear. Australia is [u]NOT[u] a state of the US. Once part of the British 'Empire', it is to the south east of Asia.

Not everywhere in the world belongs to America!! wink

Yeah - that was the funniest thing written here all year:

"It soon became apparent to me that I was dealing with a peculiar creature and that sub-consciously I was actually beginning to coach his behaviour, as I naturally do with many of my clients."

Then again, 'Things are never quite what they seem...'
