I Have Been Diagnosed...

... with a condition known as "Frozen Shoulder", thus, I cannot function my left arm properly without a shooting pain going thru it. sad

on Sunday it shot to the side of my chest so I had 2 go and see a doctor 4 real.

They want me 2 rest the arms for 4 weeks... no weights, no lifting, and that probably means as little performing as possible - mad

They Doctor's put me on anti-inflammatory tablets which are just making me temporarily hazy.

any1 else suffered from this?

Take this very seriously and do what the doc tells you. My mom had this a few years back and it took months for her shoulder to get better. If you rest and take the meds, hopefully you will feel ok in a few weeks. Good luck!

Have you seen a Chiropractor?

Try to stay away from those meds.. They are bad news.

DAMN!!! I have the same thing (I think, well similar) and I am going to the doctor this week for it as well. It's really bad today, the worst it's been yet, but mine is more in my collarbone and I think it may be cracked. I hope I don't have to lay off it for as long as you do because that would suck.

Give me some of your anti-inflammatories please. biggrin

Trying to get used to those inflammatory thingi's they been knocking me off guard all day, (although I only took my first a couple of hours ago!).

Alas, I have had 2 cancel a well-paid gig on Saturday because of this mad.

Wonder if I'll show remote improvement by Natsume's b'day?

Yeah Dre - had sumthin a lot like that last year. REAL bad it was 2. Some days were better than others, but it stayed with me 4 months sad

Not only that, sometimes it affected my fingers joints, wrists, legs...it was real strange as it seemed like some kind of aggresive arthritis.

The docs didnt seem 2 have a clue, but it eventually went away. May have been some kind of virus. Some days It was painful (not 2 mention an effort) 2 get out of bed)

Get well soon man - just be sure 2 rest up & take it easy.

You should try getting out in the sun, or sitting next to a hot fire. That might fix it. nod

U're probably right, but I can't help it, I am quite dedicated to what I do and I love 2 entertain.
I guess it's the price U pay huh? sucks tho'

However, I am making gradual progress, went 2 the movies 2day to watch "Standing In The Shadows Of Motown" - GO SEE IT! it's an awesome movie.

I have also produced for this French girl... I took her back 2 my place after a jam session where I used 2 B resident on Wednesday and under the influence, we recorded a track in about 3 hours...

click the link 2 find out more and listen the track!
(this will take you to the correct forum and the track requires RealONE).

All I'm saying is that if you don't take your doc's advice things will get a lot worse and in time you might even lose a lot of strength and lose a lot of range of motion in that shoulder. Things that can be irreversible.

And even if this does get better in time (which will most likely be more than 4 weeks before it has completely healed), think what might have caused it and try to prevent it from coming back. Even when you're being as careful as you can be, it might still act up once in a while.
