5 - 6 times/week for the last 2 months

600 calories (40 minutes) per day on a cross-trainer plus weight training.

Haven't lost a pound. Feel better though, I suppose.

<--- Doesn't understand why anybody would want to go to the gym when there are so many more pleasurable ways to move one's body. confuse

Which is not to say that I never have. I dedicated myself to gym-rat-dom for quite some time. I just hated every gawddamn second of it.

For me it's a matter of understanding that it takes work to look better. Once you get your mind around doing the work the rest is just sweat.

I am the single laziest person when it comes to working out. I was on the swim & track team in high school so was in pretty good shape back then, but as soon as I started college, working out became more and more of a struggle. I truly hate doing it...I get so bored so fast.

At one point I joined Bally's and had a personal trainer, thinking if someone was there making me do the work then I'd finally get into a routine. Well, that lasted about 2 weeks. I missed 3 days in a row and my trainer called me asking why I wasn't there...I lied to him saying I was in a car accident and would be out for the next 3 weeks. How pathetic is that? I think I went back like 4 times and then stopped all together, paying $60 a month for 3 years for absolutely nothing. That was about 6 years ago.

But last year I joined the Y and started swimming (something I really like) and I am finally starting to get in the habit on going at least 3 times a week. I also am riding my bike as much as I can, and am planning on joining a roller-hockey league at the Y in October. Anyway...for me at least, I need to be doing something I enjoy to get my ass off the couch and exercise.

I do! Or, I did. I used to be a regular at my gym for years, but then I moved to a new country. I've recently joined a new gym but it's mainly a financial arrangement at the moment, I haven't been able to commit time to it. As of tomorrow though, I'm back in the gym 3-4 times a week!

I hit the gym 3 times a week but I prefer outdoors activities like running, climbing, swimming, skiing, hiking and biking.

Not yet, but I'm thinking about buying a membership to Golds Gym soon, I'm getting old, it's time to start toning.

I need to, but I do take my dog on long walks, I have to walk him so he doesn't get fat so we walk and I talk baby talk to him. I enjoy the solitude and the exercise is good for both of us.

Never understood people who work out, just to look better.
