as of now i am no longer associating myself with the OGM as several people have demonstrated to me they can not tell the difference between when i am speaking as chris and when i am speaking for the OGM.

i wish to point out to people that the OGM is not or never has been about targeting homophobes. it is not nor has it ever been a political group. it has never once labelled anyone a homophobe, nor will it. it is about communing together to shield one another from everything from the unintentionally mean jokes to the outright hatred that often gets lobbied at us because we are ifferent from the norm.

because i am i a highly politically active person and a person who will call people on their shit when it comes to such things, i have caused the OGM to appear to be a political group or some kind of "action taking group" as it has been called in recent days.

and that's not what it's about. it's about surviving the persecution, not creating more persecution.

The idea that I signed onto was that through visibility, some of us could act as inspiration to others who weren't out or felt that they could not be themselves on this site. I have received more than a few messages from others on here that said that my being out and open gave them the courage to do the same. That's all that was really involved.

I had political views way before The Org Gay Mafia. Any of you out there who know me know this is true. And I wasn't about to curb my political aspirations to appear "non political" in a gay arena.
