How long here?

I've been coming to the .Org for quite awhile. Over 5 years, I'm sure. I've always posted under the name June7, but... could've posted under June7Funk as well... I lurked on version 1.0 for a while, but posted a lot before the change. I post on 2.0 all the time, and find it more filling with less calories! )

I am newish not newbe, but have amassed an astonishing (well not really, more like embarrassing ) 448 posts in just under two months since I joined on July 16th.

My name was a pathetic attempt at humour. Predominant was supposed to be Predomin-ant indicating the foremost ant. However the hyphen was lost during my account set up and lost any weak or humorous suggestions of a little insect. Despite this I was not put off and continued to force my ant theme through my avatar. My 1st three avatars were of ants, the first was lots of little ants surrounding a large ant (the predomin-ant!) The second was a Macroscopic image of and ant, and the third a big ant on a leaf. The name continued to loose further significance, impacted negatively by abbreviation by other orgers, to Predom or Pre – dominant (before dominance ). The ant, it seemed, was lost.

It was clearly not working, the ant theme was about as funny at a little guy with blue boots in an oversized yellow hard helmet!

Changing the subject completely my new avatar resulted from a three-way forum session with Redfeathers and Teacher . Sadly not in that way . I was continually lambasted with verbal abuse akin to a biblical style stoning. During the thread Teach, for my own safety, put me in a hard hat for protection.

I adopted the little hard hat chap as my new avatar yesterday. I like him he continues to protect me from flaming. I think that he will stay for a while, if for no other reason than that his colours complement a lot of the emoticons!!

The name is real, given to me by my mother, she had gotten my name from a greek love legend called "Black Orpheus". Avatar used to be real but I've had trouble uploading my file because of it's size, so now it's just an old pic of Vanity which in some ways resembels me with her look and her sexyness and those bangels she's wearing on both arms, deffinetly me. I've been here for a while now checking in from time to time to see what's new although I don't post often I'm nevre too far. Good subject question though I always wanted to know where orgers had gotten there names from.

Stymie is a family nickname given to me by my dearest cousin/brother/friend. My avatar was given to me so graciously by Mama Banana after he voted me "The Orger Most Likely To Never Have An Avatar". I have lurked here at the Org for about a year before I posted but I've officially been part of the family about a year and a half. I am so grateful that a Prince fan turned me on to this place as I have made some lifelong friends and met some kindred spirits.

i used to change my avatar like every other week, until i found this old pic of prince a couple months ago--i immediately fell in luv with it. it's become my permanent avvie, to the surprise of many.
i have this as my avvie for a couple reasons:

1) it's representative of my fave prince album/era (dirty mind)

2) the expression on p's face is just so me--sorta like he wuz pondering sumfin a bit. i'm always, always thinkin and questionin what goes on in the world around me and why folks interact with each other the way they do; i'm a typical sagittarian, so no surprise there. my avvie's sorta like my rodin's thinker, i suppose.


how long i've been here:
i've been here on the org since the b & p (black & purple) days...i started in the summer of 1999. i wuz mainly in the html chatroom on the old org when i started up, then i started postin on the forum a bit before the 'new' org wuz created...since then, i've become a forum addict and you rarely see me in the chatroom anymore, save for late at night sometimes.
