cable access RAWKS! i love cable access! i have seen some great shows on cable access, and it gives a voice to anyone and everyone. wether you're talking about politics or presenting a sketch comedy show, or just some bad actor with multiple personality disorder, they will let you on! It is great. Here is Sacramento, there's a 60-year-old preacher lady that talks about sex and smears cooked turkey and chicken parts on her body, and simulates sex with the parts. I am seriously not joking, and I love it!

And seriously, I love watching skits and interviews, even if they are a little boring. It gives me a thrill knowing that it's locally produced by normal people. It's so untainted. I watch cable access all the time. We've got tons of C.A. channels here, and there's always something neato on!

i wuz about to reply to the other thread about this...i agree, there is some cool stuff on--here in mpls there's this one show called "the nancy boys" (i think that's the name of it...i don't quite remember, i don't have cable anymore), and it had two female impersonators on it who'd do interviews n'stuff. it's just the absolute most, man!!!

actually, austin has really REALLY great cable access... there is one called "the show with no name" that is hilarious sardonic and ironic showing of wierd and freaky clips from old tv shows, wierd footage you find on the internet, etc.

Tom Green's cable-access show from 1994 was some of the best stuff he's ever done. I've seen some great things on cable access. I live a TV-free existance now, but LONG LIVE CABLE ACCESS! | |

what if the org had public access...
Deja would have a show where she showed rare prince pictures and made them say funny things. Icenine, Chemmie, and Teller would have a round table discussion about the evils of the Clintons. EvilWhiteMale would have a call-in show where dumb fucks try to call in in various disguised voices and try to win an insult smackdown with him. Of course they never win, but they would keep trying. Paisley would have a call in show where she asks questions and then people call in and answer them in two words or less. MrBliss would have a daily celebration of his birthday show. Supafunky, JojoFran, 333, Bibleteacher, and me would have a religious round table discussion show. Cloudbuster and Chico would have a show where people would call in and the two of them would then pretend they said something else and that proceed to make funny  and  and  faces at the camera.
